Jim Flannigan is a nationally touring stand-up comedian from Chicago. Known for his fast-paced, clever punchlines, Jim is a regular headliner at top comedy clubs including Zanies and The Improv, as well as a regular performer at Chicago’s Laugh Factory and Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club in Las Vegas, NV.

Jim has opened for some of the biggest names in the world of comedy, including Sebastian Maniscalco, Demitri Martin, and more, along with TV appearances on ABC, NBC, WGN & NBC Sports among others. Flannigan spent three years as the co-host of the hilarious All Over the Place, a weekly podcast that is just that, with Pat McGann. In April 2023, Jim recorded a set for Nate Bargatze’s Nateland Presents The Showcase, to be released later this year.

The Overworked, Underpaid Teacher Comedy Tour has something for everybody. Once the laughs start they don’t cease. These, hands down, are the funniest teachers in the land. All comedy veterans in their own right, this lineup brings new perspective to the understanding of public education as they celebrate those who show up everyday to teach the future, and sometimes shake off the past.

With performances by:

Chastity Washington, a 25-year comedy veteran, is an NBC Diversity Finalist and participant for Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. She opened for Tommy Davidson, Roy Wood Jr., and many others. Washington takes no prisoners when she hits the stage.

Marlin Hill, a five-time Apollo winner, and 30+ year comedy veteran was the featured voice of Barack Obama for the show “The Boondocks.” A frequent collaborator with industry heavyweights like Mike Epps, Deon Cole, and Jamie Foxx, Hill is the rare throwback who connects with you on levels you didn’t even know existed.

Preacher Moss, a comedy creative with over 30 years in the game, has toured with George Lopez, Dave Chappelle, many others. Not just seen as a hilarious comedian, Moss continues to be an advocate for student empowerment, and leadership. He produced a one-man show about teaching called, “I Never Thought About Dying…Until I Took A Job Teaching.” One the top Muslim Comedians in the world (Allah Made Me Funny), Moss brings all of this to bear, and you’re going to laugh… hard.

The 'Mingos begin their playoff run this Saturday in Colorado against Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC. This will be the fourth time these two teams have faced each other this season.

Comedian Chastity Washington has a performance history of nearly twenty years. In that time she has performed in clubs & colleges across the nation, worked in radio as well as being a middle school and high school teacher. She has appeared on BET Comic View, Coming to the Stage & HBO Def Jam. Chastity has also been featured at the TBS Just For Laughs festival from 2009 to 2012 and was the only female finalist of the 2011 Bay Area Comedy competition. She has recently been featured at Jokes & Notes in Chicago, Milwaukee’s Comedy Cafe’, the LaffHouse in Philadelphia and the Milwaukee date of the Shaq Comedy All-Stars tour.

After a tough loss against South Georgia Tormenta FC this past weekend, Forward Madison FC will hit the road again to face Central Valley Fuego FC on Saturday, August 26th at 9:30pm CT. This is the third time the teams have faced each other this season, with both sides winning a game.

Key Players to Watch:

Jayden Onen: As the team’s leader in assists and recent goal-scorer against South Georgia, Onen will be instrumental in helping the ‘Mingos stay aggressive offensively. Look for Onen to lead the FMFC attack with his creativity on the ball and ability to distribute in the final third.

Derek Gebhard: The last time Forward Madison played Central Valley Fuego FC, Gebhard scored the lone goal in the 16th minute. With his speed and quick feet on the left side, he will be a force to be reckoned with on Saturday. 

Timmy Mehl: With 36 interceptions on the season, Mehl is one of the most disruptive defenders in the league. Look for Mehl to make big stops in FMFC’s defensive end and initiate counterattacks for his squad. 

Key Match Up: 

Ronald Alexis Cerritos vs. FMFC Backline: After a tough match for the Forward Madison defense last weekend, this week will be an opportunity for the backline to reset. Central Valley Fuego FC striker Ronald Alexis Cerritos has five goals during the 2023 season thus far and is capable of breaking down defensive shapes. Saturday’s match-up will be a true testament as to whether or not the FMFC backline can withstand high-attacking pressure ahead of the playoffs.

Key to the Match:

Consistent Play Through The Full 90: Last weekend, Forward jumped to an early lead but was unable to hold it during the second half. Look for the squad to focus on keeping the pressure up and holding their defensive shape when ahead.

Previous and Next Match:

The Flamingos come into this match after a 2-4 loss against South Georgia Tormenta FC. Next up, Forward Madison FC travels to play against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC on Saturday, August 26th at 6:30pm CT.
